Salon Industry Talent Takes Over At Interactive Hair Show

DALLAS, TX (August 11, 2006) – Raw energy will take over Dallas in the form of the salon industry’s best and brightest this September 10-11. Xcellence Unplugged, an unprecedented salon education event, takes the stage in the lone star state as stylists from across the country are invited to challenge the norm and experience the difference of unplugged salon education in an interactive hair show.

With music pulsing and all lights and eyes focused on center stage, some of the industry’s leading talent will expand stylists’ visions in engaging stage presentations filled with wild cutting talent and creative hair color. After the presentations, the show will feature its unique X Lounge – an experience where attendees will come face to face with platform artists and their models to ask questions, get answers and feel the hair.  Then passions will ignite while audience members indulge their senses in the one-of-a-kind Xperimental Hair Lab – a staging area where attendees are provided with the tools necessary to emulate what the masters have created on-stage.

In an adrenaline rush of hair, color and talented flair, featured platform presentations will be given by Marjorie Clarke, 2005 North American Hairstylist of the Year and 2004 Canadian Makeover Artist of the Year, as well as the globally renowned Van Michael Team with Van Council, 1996 Avant Garde Stylist of the Year and 1993 North American Hairstylist of the Year. The styling talents of the Carmen Carmen Team with Carmen Cutrona, 1995 North American Hairstylist of the Year and Global Master of the Arts winner, as well as the William Edge Team, featured in American Salon’s “Top 200 Salons” issue, will also dominate the main stage. Jeffrey Scott, Master Cosmetologist and Colorist, will revolutionize hairstyle ideas along with Marilyn Ihloff’s team, whose salon was voted by Salon Today as one of the 200 fastest growing salons in the nation.
